Leon Football Hall of Fame

Leon Football Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame was created in 1977 by Coach Gene Cox as a way to pay tribute the players and others who have supported the Leon High Football Program. The Leon Hall of Fame's website is www.leonhalloffame.com.

The annual Leon Football Hall of Fame Banquet is attended by inductees, family, friends, teachers, administrators and alumni to celebrate the legacy of the Leon Lions.  The varsity team is sponsored at the dinner so they can learn from former Lions about football and how to be successful in life after high school. Two scholarships funded by donations, in the names of former coaches Gene Cox and Jimmy Sauls, are awarded by the Leon Hall of Fame at the banquet to players heading to college.

Funds permitting, the Hall of Fame also sponsors a pre-game meal for the currernt varsity and junior varsity teams and helps raise money for other team needs.  The Leon Hall of Fame is not a fundraising organization, does not collect dues and relies on donations from the community. It is a 501 c(3) organization. Donations are gladly accepted.

All alumni are encouraged to participate in the Leon Football Hall of Fame activities. For additional information, please contact Candi Aubin at 850-508-3107 or by email aubin5@aol.com.
